How does iCloud sync work?

Hense automatically syncs your boards, columns, and cards across all your Apple devices using iCloud. As long as you're signed into the same iCloud account on your devices, your data syncs automatically, no additional account or setup required.

Changes typically sync within seconds when you have an internet connection. If you're offline, changes are queued and sync automatically when you're back online.

Is it really one purchase for all devices?

Yes! Hense uses Apple's Universal Purchase, which means a single $11.99 purchase gives you access on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. There's no separate purchase needed for each platform.

You can download the app on any device signed into the Apple ID that made the purchase, including family members if you use Family Sharing.

My boards aren't syncing. What should I do?

If your boards aren't syncing, try these steps:

  1. Check that you're signed into iCloud on all devices (Settings → [Your Name])
  2. Ensure iCloud Drive is enabled for Hense (Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → See All)
  3. Verify you have an internet connection
  4. Try force-quitting and reopening the app
  5. Check the sync status indicator in the app

How do I use the search operators?

Hense supports advanced search operators to help you find cards quickly:

  • label:urgent — Find cards with a specific label
  • column:doing — Find cards in a specific column

You can also combine regular text with operators, like website label:client to find cards containing "website" that have the "client" label.

Can I get a refund?

App Store purchases are handled by Apple. If you'd like to request a refund, you can do so through Apple's Report a Problem page within 14 days of purchase.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in two places:

  1. On your device — The primary copy lives locally on each device
  2. In your iCloud account — A synced copy is stored in your personal iCloud storage

We never see, access, or store your data on our servers. Your information stays entirely within Apple's ecosystem, protected by your Apple ID and iCloud security.
